Bright violet color with a vibrant appearance. Immediate aromas of light herbs and flowers. Flavors of dark cherry, leafy herbs, soft spice, cola and hints of licorice. Tannins are well balanced that allow for a silky mouthfeel. Decanting or a little aeration will help this wine express itself to the fullest. This is a fantastic food wine or as a stand alone depending on your mood. Good through 2023.
An array of select lots were blended and aged in 10% new French and 90% neutral oak for twelve months then blended and aged for another two. An additional two years of bottle aging assures a well integrated quaff. This traditional Rhone blend truly shines with complexity; Grenache dominates this medium bodied wine with the Mourvèdre adding spice and Syrah depth of dark fruit character.
