Zinfandel - East Block '16
Tasting Notes
A strikingly dark garnet glow to the eye with Zinberry, cardamom and licorice on the nose. Over two years in the bottle shows that patience is rewarded. The wine is well integrated with no astringency normally associated with young red wines. Ben & Jerry’s would be so lucky to discover the flavors of purple plum and brambly boysenberry but we got there first! Soft chewy tannins finishes with dark cocoa and cola nut. BBQ and friends is the only thing missing!

East Block
Vineyard Notes
The gravelly soil of this block produced grapes of supreme quality in 2016. Not a
huge crop but very balanced. Both sections came in almost exactly the same and the resulting wine was one of the best in years. Knowing this vineyard as
well as we do allows the winemaker to choose barrels that are perfectly suited to this “big” wine.
